William Williams (April 8, 1731 – August 2, 1811) was an American Founding Father, merchant, a delegate for Connecticut to the Continental Congress in 1776, and a signatory to the United States Declaration of Independence. Born in Lebanon, Connecticut, Williams attained a common school education before studying theology and law at Harvard College, graduating in 1751.
